About Me

Hi,

I’m Aidan Williamson.

I’ve been interested in photography since childhood & developed an interest in aviation photography in the early 1980’s. I moved from film to digital in 2005.  I’m also a keen amateur guitarist although I’m well aware of my limitations, but I make no apologies for any sound files that appear on this site. Click on them at your own peril !

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed looking at the pictures you posted after your trip to Toulouse. Pictures of production centre aircraft from all manufacturers are unusual, like pictures of aircraft stored between leases.

I have been enthralled by aircraft since being taken to Farnborough in 1957 (the year the Vulcan was rolled) and then spent my whole working life as a pilot.

When I used to fly into Toulouse with Dan Air and then BA, Airbus production was on nothing like the scale you have shown, and we were the wrong side of the airport anyway.

If you reply, I will send you a couple of pictures to whet your appetite from a generation ago.
